Infopark Kochi companies: what this guide covers
Infopark Kochi companies employ more IT professionals than any other campus in Kerala, and for a fresher in the state the question is rarely whether to apply there but how. This guide is for final-year students, recent graduates and career switchers who want a clear picture of who is inside Infopark, what those companies hire for and how the hiring process actually works at entry level.

Infopark is a government-promoted IT park spread across Phase 1 and Phase 2 in Kakkanad, on the eastern edge of Kochi. It houses global IT services firms, consulting and audit practices, analytics companies and a long tail of startups and product firms. Together they make Kochi the busiest IT job market in Kerala.
Below you will find the campus at a glance, an Infopark companies list grouped by type, the skill areas employers hire for, how to choose one of them based on your degree, the four steps freshers follow to get hired, and how to keep track of openings as the tenant list changes.
Infopark at a glance
Quick answer: Infopark is in Kakkanad, Kochi, was established in 2004, spans Phase 1 and Phase 2 with further phases announced, and hosts about 582 companies and 72,000 professionals as of 2025. It also runs satellite campuses at Thrissur (Koratty) and Cherthala.
| Item | Detail |
|---|
| Location | Kakkanad, Kochi |
| Established | 2004 |
| Campus | Phase 1 and Phase 2, with further phases announced |
| Companies | About 582 (2025) |
| Professionals | About 72,000 (2025) |
| Satellite campuses | Infopark Thrissur (Koratty) and Infopark Cherthala |
The campus was set up by the Government of Kerala in 2004 and has grown steadily since (Wikipedia). Phase 1 holds most of the older, larger tenants; Phase 2 across the road has newer buildings and many of the mid-sized firms and startups. For a fresher this matters when you plan walk-ins: the two phases are a short walk apart, so a single morning can cover several companies.
The satellite campuses at Koratty and Cherthala are smaller but worth watching if you live in Thrissur or Alappuzha. Companies there often struggle to find local talent and are more open to freshers who can join without relocating.
Infopark companies list: major employers by type
Quick answer: Infopark's tenants fall into four groups: IT services firms, global tech and consulting companies, analytics and research firms, and a large number of startups and product companies. Each group hires freshers differently.
- IT services: TCS, Wipro, HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra, LTIMindtree, UST. These firms run delivery centres for clients worldwide and hire freshers in batches into SAP, cloud, development, testing and support roles. Expect an aptitude test, a technical round and an HR round.
- Global tech and consulting: IBM, Cognizant, KPMG, EY. Consulting and audit practices here hire into finance analytics, reporting, SAP and advisory support roles, and they value commerce and management graduates as much as engineers.
- Analytics and research: IQVIA, Nielsen. Healthcare data and market research work with large datasets, SQL and statistics. Strong Excel, SQL and a published dashboard matter more than your degree title.
- Startups and product firms: many small and mid-sized companies across both phases. Fewer formal hiring rounds, faster decisions, broader responsibility and the best place to learn quickly if you can show a project.
Tenant lists change, so check the Infopark website for current companies before you plan a round of applications.
Skills Infopark employers hire for
Quick answer: Infopark companies hire freshers into five main skill areas: SAP, data, cloud, development and testing. Each maps to a specific set of entry roles and to a job-focused course that prepares you for them.
A few observations on how these play out for Infopark jobs for freshers:
- SAP openings come mostly from the IT services firms and consultancies, which run SAP practices for Indian, European and Gulf clients. Our guide to SAP jobs in Kochi for freshers covers the roles and pay in detail.
- Data roles are spread across analytics firms, consulting practices and IT services BI teams. See data analyst jobs in Kochi.
- Cloud hiring is strongest at IT services firms with managed-services teams and at product startups. See AWS jobs in Kochi for freshers.
- Development and testing are the broadest categories and the ones where a public GitHub profile with real projects does the most work.
You can compare all five tracks at Cokonet Academy or browse all courses to see the syllabus and project list for each.
Which skill area should a fresher choose for Infopark?
Quick answer: Choose based on your degree and what you enjoy, not on which area sounds most impressive. Commerce graduates lean towards SAP FICO and data; engineering graduates towards cloud, development, SAP ABAP or testing; science and management graduates towards data, testing and SAP.
Infopark recruiters shortlist on fit between your background and the role. A BCom graduate interviewing for a junior FICO or finance analyst role has an advantage because the domain is familiar. A mechanical engineer who knows supply chain fits SAP MM. A BTech in computer science who enjoys automation fits DevOps or development.
Use this rough map:
- BCom, MCom, BBA, MBA: SAP FICO, data analyst, MIS, finance reporting.
- BTech, BCA, MCA, BSc Computer Science: cloud and DevOps, Python full stack, SAP ABAP, software testing.
- Mechanical, production, civil, logistics: SAP MM, testing, data.
- BSc, BA and other science or arts graduates: data analyst, software testing, support roles that lead into SAP or cloud.
If two areas appeal equally, pick the one with the shorter path to a first project. Momentum matters more than the perfect choice, and Infopark careers often cross tracks after the first year or two.

How freshers get hired at Infopark: 4 steps that work
Quick answer: Apply directly on company careers pages and LinkedIn, watch for walk-in drives, show a portfolio or project rather than only a certificate, and use a local training centre for placement support and mock interviews.
- Apply directly on company careers pages; many smaller firms post only on LinkedIn. Large IT services firms route fresher hiring through their own portals and campus programmes. Startups and mid-sized firms rarely use job boards at all; a LinkedIn post from a team lead is often the only advertisement. Follow the companies you want to join and set alerts.
- Watch for walk-in drives. Infopark companies run walk-ins for testing, support, SAP and development roles throughout the year. They are announced at short notice through LinkedIn, WhatsApp groups and training institutes, so keep your CV and project write-ups ready at all times.
- Show a portfolio or project, not just a certificate. Every interviewer at Infopark has seen hundreds of certificates. A published Power BI dashboard, a deployed AWS project, a documented SAP configuration or a GitHub repository with tests is what moves you from "maybe" to "shortlist".
- Visit the Cokonet Kochi centre for placement support and mock interviews. A training centre with hiring partners hears about openings and drives before they are public, and a mock interview with someone who knows what Infopark panels ask removes most first-interview nerves.
One more habit that pays off: keep a simple tracker of every application, contact and follow-up date. Infopark hiring moves in waves, and the candidate who follows up politely after a week is often the one remembered when the next wave starts.
What Infopark jobs for freshers actually look like
Quick answer: Most fresher openings at Infopark are trainee, associate or junior roles in support, testing, development, SAP, data and cloud teams. The first year is about learning the client's environment; responsibility and pay grow quickly once you have done that.
At the IT services firms, a fresher typically joins as a trainee or associate, goes through a few weeks of internal training, and is then placed on a client project. The work is structured, the processes are documented and there is a clear ladder. At startups, the same fresher might be deploying code in week two.
Shift work is common in support, cloud operations and some SAP support roles because clients sit in other time zones. Freshers who are open to rotating shifts in year one find it noticeably easier to get a first offer, and the allowance improves the starting package.
Whatever the role, the pattern is the same: the first six to twelve months decide how fast you move. Freshers who keep building skills during that period, rather than waiting to be trained, are the ones promoted to the next band first.
How to keep track of Infopark openings as the tenant list changes
Quick answer: Check the Infopark website for the current tenant list, follow the companies you want on LinkedIn, join Kochi job groups, and stay in touch with a training centre that has hiring partners on campus.
Infopark adds and loses tenants every year, and company names change through mergers. Any static list, including the one in this guide, goes out of date. Build a small system instead:
- Bookmark the Infopark website and review the tenant list once a month while you are job hunting.
- Follow 20 to 30 target companies on LinkedIn and turn on job alerts for Kochi.
- Join two or three active Kochi IT job groups where walk-ins are shared.
- Ask your training institute which hiring partners are recruiting this quarter.
IT companies in Kochi outside the park also hire, including firms around Kakkanad, Vytilla and the port area, so do not limit your search to the Infopark gate. The skills that get you hired inside the park are exactly the ones those companies want too.
